I came across centuries-old stone houses, known as rustici, built from local granite and clinging to the hillsides, each one telling quiet stories of a simpler alpine life. As I walked through narrow cobbled paths, every corner felt like a living museum. The true magic I felt in the Verzasca Valley came from these quiet hamlets — where tradition, nature, and history blended seamlessly into one unforgettable Swiss escape. |
James Bond 007 - The iconic dam featured in GoldenEye isn’t actually in Bratislava—but in the Verzasca Valley in southern Switzerland. Known as the Verzasca Dam (officially Contra Dam), it rises 220 meters, making it one of the highest dams in Europe.
